Summary

A unique and artistic high-end hospitality and residential design studio is looking for a skilled and creative Middleweight Interior Architect or Interior Designer to work full-time on a permanent basis in their London office. Their design style combines a timeless, authentic, and tailored approach, bringing in all elements of the architecture and natural world to create a bespoke aesthetic.

The studio’s portfolio included a range of high-end restaurants and bars both in UK and internationally plus also a secondary focus on private residential projects. They are looking to work with people who share their love for enhancing lifestyles and improving environments through materials, textures, and inspired details. The successful candidate will be someone looking for the to work on a range of artistic projects and to be an integral part of their team.

Job description:

  • Assist on projects from concept to completion, collaborating as a team, working individually as well as working closely with the founding members
  • Assist the team with design stages and presentations including conceptual research, image sourcing, hand-sketching, 3D modelling
  • Assist the team with drawings packages, ranging from master plans to smaller architectural and joinery interior details
  • Prepare and attend client presentations
  • Paper filing and recording all project documentation
  • Keep up communications with clients, suppliers, and other members of the design team including researching and contacting new suppliers and manufacturers for references, materials, finishes and fabrics
  • Order samples and document / store them within the material library

Skills necessary:

  • Required: Full proficiency using AutoCAD for 2D, 3D StudioMax or SolidWorks, Photoshop and InDesign are essential
  • Required: Professional English
  • Must have 3+ years post grad experience in high end interior design demonstrating an understanding of the luxury/high-end hospitality or private residential sectors
  • Previous UK based experience working for a high-end hospitality studio
  • Must be skilled at Hand Sketching.
  • Confident communication skills, ability to present ideas to the studio co-founders and design team and liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients
  • Strong conceptualisation skills along
  • Competent in preparing cad drawings packages
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of design detailing and specifications
  • Knowledge of the UK regulations and UK project stages
  • Great communication and ability to work closely with clients and manufacturers
  • On-site experience would be preferable
