What is a Business Development Manager?
A Business Development Manager’s primary objective is to identify new business opportunities for the practice. The role is crucial to the growth of a company, helping identify new markets and new ways of reaching existing markets. Business Development Managers often work with senior leaders to build and maintain client relationships, fine-tune performance targets and identify key areas of improvement.
Duties of a Business Development Manager

Skills and Competencies
Great people skills and the ability to motivate and influence others are essential skills for Business Development Managers. BD Managers also need be fantastic communicators, good negotiators and strong project managers. Excellent English language writing skills, both technical and non-technical are essential, as is knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, and Photoshop.
