Summary of 1st Line IT Support Role

Are you an IT enthusiast ready to embark on a rewarding journey in a top architecture practice? Look no further! Our client is a renowned firm with over 60 years of excellence, and they’re seeking a talented individual to join their IT team in London.

You’ll be at the forefront of providing 1st line IT support. From troubleshooting technical problems to recommending future initiatives aligned with new technology developments, you’ll play a crucial role in IT operations.

1st Line IT Support Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and efficiently to all IT support requests from users
  • Strive for a “first-time fix” resolution, escalating complex issues to the IT Managers when needed
  • Set up activities for new employees, including laptop builds and licensing, ensuring a smooth onboarding process
  • Research service providers and IT equipment, making procurement recommendations based on compatibility, ongoing support, and cost implications
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks relevant to your background and role as required by the Practice
  • Uphold the reputation and standing of the Practice at all times
  • You’ll collaborate with colleagues across all offices and external service providers

1st Line IT Support Role Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Experience with tools like Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Azure
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues
  • Proactive can-do attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent attention to detail for technical documentation
  • Some experience in a 1st line IT support role
  • Willingness to travel to other offices as required
  • While not essential, experience with Adobe Suite, Autodesk Applications, VMware, Android, and iOS will be advantageous

Desirable Technical Skills

  • Experience using ManageEngine for software deployment/patching
  • Prior exposure to the Freshdesk ticketing system
  • A background in the AEC Sector
  • Administration knowledge of Adobe CC suite, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), Autodesk Applications (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc.), rendering applications (Enscape and V-Ray), Unreal Engine gaming workflows, and VR and AR equipment (Vive, Oculus VR, HoloLens, and associated software platforms)
