We’re working with a respected Architecture Practice in Berkshire looking for a driven Architect Associate to lead across Planning, Construction Design, Compliance, and Business Strategy. This is a key leadership role for someone confident steering high-level projects and mentoring teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead on planning strategy, design delivery, and technical compliance
Oversee detailed planning applications and construction design workflows
Be the key point of contact for senior-level client and team advice
Review and sign off planning submissions and construction documentation
Manage senior staff and support team development through PDPs
Prepare fee proposals and provide regular client updates
Drive business growth through marketing and strategic planning input
Navigate the NPPF, Planning Practice Guidance, and local planning policy
Ensure design compliance with the Building Act 1984, Building Regs 2010, and CDM 2015
About You:
Strong leadership and client management skills
In-depth knowledge of UK planning policy and application processes
Solid understanding of construction design and statutory compliance
Experienced in reviewing design submissions and planning strategy
Confident guiding teams and managing schedules (Clockify experience ideal)
Must have strong Revit skills and experience working on live projects
Strategic thinker with a sharp eye for risk, growth, and change management
Skilled in engaging clients and local authorities at a senior level
