About the Architect Role

An established AJ100 architectural practice based in central London is seeking a talented and technically skilled Architect to join their growing team, with a focus on data centre design and delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on highly technical, large-scale infrastructure projects in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong Revit proficiency and experience working within complex building typologies — ideally in data centres, mission-critical facilities, or similarly technical sectors. You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet both technical and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities for this Architect Role

  • Lead and support the architectural design of data centre projects from concept to delivery.

  • Coordinate closely with in-house and external consultants, including MEP and structural teams.

  • Develop high-quality technical drawings and detailed design packages using Revit.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and project deliverables.

  • Participate in design team meetings, progress reviews, and client presentations.

  • Maintain accurate BIM models and support the integration of information across disciplines.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and the ongoing development of best practices in technical architecture.

Required Skills and Experience for this Architect Role

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-Part II or post-Part III experience in architectural practice.

  • Strong Revit skills with experience delivering large-scale technical projects.

  • Excellent understanding of construction detailing, building regulations, and technical design processes.

  • Prior experience in data centres or other technically complex environments (e.g. healthcare, labs, infrastructure) is advantageous.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and manage workload independently.

  • Familiarity with BIM Level 2 standards and UK industry protocols.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working within the ISO 19650 BIM framework.

  • Knowledge of Navisworks, BIM360, or Dynamo.

  • Understanding of cooling, ventilation, and power requirements in data centre environments.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary of £40,000 – £45,000.

  • Hybrid working policy with a well-connected London office.

  • Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.

  • Supportive, collaborative studio culture with mentoring and training available.

  • Benefits include Cycle to Work scheme, pension contributions, and support for professional memberships.

If you’re a technically focused Architect with an interest in data-driven environments and cutting-edge infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now to join a team that values innovation, precision, and design excellence.
