About the Architect Role
An established AJ100 architectural practice based in central London is seeking a talented and technically skilled Architect to join their growing team, with a focus on data centre design and delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on highly technical, large-scale infrastructure projects in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong Revit proficiency and experience working within complex building typologies — ideally in data centres, mission-critical facilities, or similarly technical sectors. You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet both technical and commercial requirements.
Key Responsibilities for this Architect Role
Lead and support the architectural design of data centre projects from concept to delivery.
Coordinate closely with in-house and external consultants, including MEP and structural teams.
Develop high-quality technical drawings and detailed design packages using Revit.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and project deliverables.
Participate in design team meetings, progress reviews, and client presentations.
Maintain accurate BIM models and support the integration of information across disciplines.
Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and the ongoing development of best practices in technical architecture.
Required Skills and Experience for this Architect Role
Minimum 3 years’ post-Part II or post-Part III experience in architectural practice.
Strong Revit skills with experience delivering large-scale technical projects.
Excellent understanding of construction detailing, building regulations, and technical design processes.
Prior experience in data centres or other technically complex environments (e.g. healthcare, labs, infrastructure) is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and manage workload independently.
Familiarity with BIM Level 2 standards and UK industry protocols.
Desirable Skills
Experience working within the ISO 19650 BIM framework.
Knowledge of Navisworks, BIM360, or Dynamo.
Understanding of cooling, ventilation, and power requirements in data centre environments.
