£40,000-50,000 DOE | East London | Hybrid Working – 1 Day WFH | Revit Essential | Hotels, Commercial & Residential

HAUS Careers is proud to be working with a highly respected, design-led architecture practice in East London to recruit an Architect or Project Architect with strong technical and project delivery experience.

This opportunity is ideal for an ARB Registered Architect with at least 4 years’ UK post-Part III experience who enjoys leading projects through the technical stages of delivery and is confident managing projects, consultants, and clients. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of hotel, commercial office, and residential projects, taking ownership of schemes from design development through to construction.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a practice known not only for delivering high-quality architecture, but also for its genuinely supportive, collaborative culture and commitment to long-term career development.

Why Join This Practice?

This studio is widely regarded as a fantastic place to work. The directors are approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in developing their team, creating a collaborative environment where people are trusted to take ownership while continuing to grow professionally.

The culture is social, creative, and people-focused, with regular Thursday drinks, studio socials, office outings, and a strong emphasis on work-life balance. Hybrid working and flexi-hours are part of the studio’s everyday culture, making it a great environment for architects looking for both challenging projects and a supportive workplace.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in leading the technical delivery of projects across the hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors. Working closely with directors, clients, consultants, and the wider design team, you’ll manage projects through the later RIBA stages, oversee drawing production, and ensure schemes are delivered to the highest technical standard.

This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading coordination, and mentoring more junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through RIBA Stages 3–5, taking responsibility for technical delivery
  • Manage client relationships, consultant coordination, and project programmes
  • Produce and oversee high-quality Stage 4 and Stage 5 drawing packages, details, and specifications
  • Develop and maintain coordinated Revit models
  • Resolve technical design and construction challenges throughout project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning conditions, and industry best practice
  • Attend client, consultant, and site meetings
  • Support and mentor junior members of the team where appropriate

About You

  • ARB Registered Architect with 3+ years’ post-Part III UK experience
  • Proven experience running projects within a UK architectural practice
  • Strong technical and construction knowledge across RIBA Stages 3–5
  • Excellent Revit proficiency (essential)
  • Experience delivering hotel, commercial office, residential, or mixed-use projects
  • Confident managing clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organised, proactive, and an effective communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative approach to project delivery

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000-50,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working with 1 day working from home
  • Flexi-hours supporting a healthy work-life balance
  • 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays and additional benefits
  • Annual salary reviews and clear progression opportunities
  • All professional subscriptions paid
  • Quarterly socials, Thursday studio drinks, and office trips
  • Employee rewards scheme with discounts across retail, travel, and lifestyle brands
  • Friendly, inclusive, and employee-focused studio culture
