Bid Manager
A leading multidisciplinary design practice is on the lookout for an experienced and proactive Bid Manager to join their dynamic and collaborative London-based studio. With a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable projects across the UK and internationally, the Bid Manager will support teams across disciplines in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape, and Interiors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven Bid Manager with a strong track record in managing bids across public and private sectors. The successful candidate will take ownership of the bid process from start to finish, playing a key role in securing high-profile projects.You will report directly to the Partner for New Business, working closely with senior leadership, with the support of the creative writer, tender admin support, and wider marketing team.
The Role:
- Oversee the complete bid/tender process, from the decision to pursue through to preparation, submission,
and outcome. - Lead and coordinate bid launches, reviews, and briefing meetings with design teams.
- Manage bid teams, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders, including
partners, project leaders, the marketing and communications team, and the creative writer. - Revising and proof-reading submissions to help successfully answer tender questions.
- Monitor and distribute tender opportunities, ensuring clarity on submission requirements and clarification
responses. - Collaborate with project leads to develop clear, compelling win strategies for each bid.
- Manage online procurement portals and keep track of submissions.
- Plan and coordinate client presentations and interviews as part of the bid process.
- Obtain feedback on all submissions and conduct post bid reviews, analyse outcomes and share lessons learned.
- Maintain a comprehensive bid library, ensuring access to key documents and communication materials.
About You:
- Degree-qualified or holding equivalent relevant qualifications
- Prior experience in a bid role within a mid to large-scale architectural practice
- Experience in developing bid strategies, including pricing and resource allocation
- Confident working across multiple concurrent submissions with a sharp eye for detail and structure
- An articulate communicator who can inspire and support teams at all levels
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and MS Office
