Associate Architect Role Summary

Salary: £65,000 – £75,000
We are pleased to be representing an ambitious and design-led hotel developer based in Central London, now seeking an experienced Associate Architect to join their growing in-house team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a design-savvy and commercially aware architect to play a key role in the delivery of high-quality hospitality projects across the UK and Europe.
The Role
As Associate Architect, you will lead the design and coordination of multiple hotel projects from concept through to delivery, working closely with internal departments including acquisitions, construction, and operations. You will be instrumental in shaping the architectural direction of the portfolio, ensuring design excellence is delivered alongside pragmatic, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architectural design and technical development across all project stages.
Oversee external consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent, buildability and cost-efficiency.
Contribute to strategic design decisions in line with broader development objectives.
Assist with consultant appointments, project programmes, and design management processes.
Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, health and safety standards, and internal quality benchmarks.
Mentor junior team members and support wider team development.
Skills and Experience Required
ARB-registered Architect with 5+ years’ post-Part 3 experience.
Strong background in high-quality design, ideally with experience in hospitality or mixed-use schemes.
Excellent proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Solid understanding of UK planning policy, building regulations, and construction detailing.
Confident communicator with strong written and verbal English skills.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of development drivers within the hotel or property sector.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
