Associate Architect Role Summary

International Design Practice | London | £60,000–£70,000+ DOE

A leading international architectural practice is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Architect to join its growing London studio. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious architect looking to step into a leadership role within a design-led practice that is delivering major projects across the UK and internationally.

The practice is currently experiencing significant growth, making this an exciting time to join a business where career progression and increased responsibility are genuinely achievable.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for leading small project teams, managing projects from inception through to completion, and overseeing the successful delivery of architectural packages across a range of complex developments.

Working primarily across RIBA Stages 2–4, you’ll combine strong design ability with excellent technical delivery, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards while mentoring junior team members and supporting the wider studio.

The project portfolio includes large-scale commercial, hospitality, high-end residential and masterplanning schemes, with a strong pipeline of work across London, the Middle East and wider international projects.

About You

We’re looking for an Associate Architect who is confident taking ownership of projects and can lead teams with minimal supervision.

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

  • Experience leading small project teams and mentoring junior architects.

  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver architectural packages from start to finish.

  • Strong technical knowledge and project delivery experience across RIBA Stages 2–4.

  • Experience working on projects valued at >£2 million.

  • A strong background delivering projects in London.

  • Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East, with additional international project experience viewed favourably.

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

  • A proactive attitude with the ambition to progress as the practice continues to grow.

Candidates from recognised design-led practices will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.

What’s on Offer?

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected international practice during a major period of expansion. You’ll work on high-profile projects alongside an experienced leadership team while benefiting from genuine long-term career progression.

The successful candidate can expect:

  • £60,000–£70,000+ salary, depending on experience.

  • Hybrid working (one day per week from home).

  • Flexible working culture focused on outcomes rather than hours.

  • Private healthcare.

  • Enhanced pension scheme.

  • Ongoing CPD and professional development.

  • Supportive mentoring and clear progression opportunities.

  • A collaborative, international working environment with exciting long-term growth plans.

If you’re looking for a role where you can take on greater responsibility, work on landmark international projects and grow your career within an expanding design practice, we’d love to hear from you.
