This is an opportunity to join a people-first environment that values both professional excellence and a healthy work-life balance.

Are you an experienced Architect ready to step into a senior leadership role where you can shape projects, mentor teams, and influence the direction of a growing practice?

The Role

As an Associate Architect, you will take a leading role across multiple residential projects, overseeing delivery from concept to completion while supporting the studio’s wider business objectives. You’ll work closely with directors, help guide project teams, and play an active role in mentoring staff and strengthening client relationships.

This studio places genuine importance on culture and wellbeing, offering a supportive, social environment with regular team events and a strong commitment to maintaining balance — overtime is minimal and not part of the norm.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary of £60,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience)
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private healthcare and a generous pension scheme
  • A collaborative and sociable studio culture with regular events
  • Clear pathway toward senior leadership / director level
  • Strong commitment to work-life balance, with minimal overtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of multiple residential projects across all RIBA stages
  • Ensure design quality, technical excellence, and compliance with UK Building Regulations (including Part L and Part B – Fire Safety)
  • Oversee and manage Revit workflows across project teams
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Manage project resourcing, budgets, and programmes to ensure successful outcomes
  • Support business development activities, including client engagement and bid contributions
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
  • Contribute to studio strategy, operations, and long-term growth

About You

  • ARB-registered Architect with significant post-qualification experience, primarily in residential architecture
  • Strong track record delivering projects from concept through to completion
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and team coordination
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence in client-facing roles
  • A collaborative, proactive individual who thrives in a people-focused environment
