Associate / Associate Director – HAUS Careers is delighted to partner with a leading AJ100 architectural practice with a stellar reputation in design-led, high-quality residential work. This award-winning, employee-focused studio is looking for an ambitious Associate or Associate Director to lead the delivery of a major residential project, client-facing, contractor-savvy, and with room to grow into a strategic leadership role.

The Associate / Associate Director Role:
As an Associate / Associate Director, you’ll take the reins on a flagship residential project, managing it through all RIBA stages. You’ll be the face of the project to clients and contractors alike, leading internal teams and ensuring delivery excellence from start to finish. While the focus is residential, the studio also works across commercial schemes, so a well-rounded sector understanding is a definite plus.
Associate / Associate Director Key Responsibilities:
Lead a large-scale residential project from concept to delivery
Manage client and contractor relationships with confidence and clarity
Guide internal teams and coordinate with external consultants
Drive quality across design and technical stages (RIBA 0–5)
Bring commercial awareness and design sensitivity to every decision
Support junior team development and contribute to practice-wide knowledge sharing
About You:
ARB-registered Architect with 7+ years’ UK experience
Proven experience leading residential projects at scale
Confident communicator with strong client and contractor liaison skills
All-rounder: from early concept through to construction
Solid Revit capability (coordination and drawing, not heavy production)
Commercial experience a bonus
Knowledge of UK regs, buildability, and project delivery excellence
