Salary: £45,000 – £50,000

We’re on the lookout for a Bid Proposal Writer to join a leading construction and property consultancy in London. Experience in writing bids for the built environment from the consultant side is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities for this Proposal Writer role

  • Collaborate with the Line Manager to develop proposal approaches and structures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality responses.
  • Lead bid strategy sessions, engaging with team members and stakeholders to storyboard winning narratives.
  • Revise and enhance existing pre-written content as necessary.
  • Gather input for bid responses from various stakeholders, including technical, commercial, finance, and marketing teams.
  • Organise gathered inputs into a cohesive and well-structured final bid proposal.
  • Deliver completed proposal responses to the Line Manager, ensuring alignment with RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and deadlines, and promptly escalating any issues.
  • Develop and manage a tender document library with templates and stock responses.
  • Take ownership of assigned bids, serving as a point of reference for colleagues involved in the bidding process, and maintain a unified and consistent approach to proposals
Skills and Requirements for this Proposal Writer role
  • 5+ years’ bid writer experience.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy.
  • Knowledge of the built environment from the consultant-side is advantageous.
  • Experience as a Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor/ Architect is welcomed.
  • Certified to APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
