Job description bim coordinator:
- Must have a degree in Architecture
- Management and monitoring of all aspects of large-scale complex BIM projects
- Regular model auditing and clash detections simulations
- Working directly with the BIM manager for all model coordination and BIM standards
- Liaising with relevant consultants for data/digital coordination
- Task team information management
- Model Coordination with all contractors and sub-consultants
- Chair regular Digital Coordination workshops as a lead bim coordinator
- Technical support and bim coordinator support for the project team and continual development of practice resources
Skills necessary for bim coordinator:
- Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks is a must. Whilst experience using AutoCAD and Microstation is highly desirable. Experience using all other BIM software is highly advantageous
- Knowledge delivering projects using Revit.
- Experience in clash detection simulations and report summaries. Bim coordinator software also.
- Working on current BIM Level 2 projects within an architectural firm
- 1-5 years experience as BIM Coordinator working on live BIM L2 projects £50m+
- In-depth understanding of current UK BIM Level 2 regulations and PAS/BS 1192 documentation
- Experience in delivering BIM and training one to one and in groups
