Looking for a BIM Manager who:
- Must have at least 2y’s experienced as BIM Manager, working for an architectural practice
- Entirely up to date with ISO standards and their application in Architecture.
- Must have previous experience delivering in projects, but aware they will not be delivering projects
- Must have experience advising on risk and interrogating client and contractor requirements (from the architectural side)
- Have experience balancing various architectural projects and wider practice tasks
- Understands the role is part of a central group (Digital Design) and will be working across 100+ projects (varied complexity) as part of a BIM Management team
The role involves:
- Review, advise and mitigate risk
- Support BID and early-stage client liaison for BIM aspirations
- Reviewing Appointment and Information Protocol
- Based on Client requirements, develop a pre-construction BIM Execution Plan, outlining how the design team will collaborate
- Hosting BIM Kick-off meetings with all parties
- Providing outline to Project architect and present the Digital Coordination Services to the client.
- Ensure Project Architect understands the impact on the project delivery and resourcing.
- Frequent check-ins with Project Architect and BIM Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of BIM on project
- Providing updates to Application Specialist to best prepare their technical support
- Review of Contractor BIM requirements and risk mitigation
- For existing buildings, advise on the use of PointCloud and Survey Models
- Project kick-off with Project architect to determine technology workflows into delivery using BIM authoring tools and required skills and training to get the architectural delivery team up and running
- Support Project Architect in understanding BIM coordinator scope and resourcing
- Guide, support and review the delivery of Client requirements being produced by the projects BIM Coordinator and team.
- Provide updates to Application Specialist to best prepare their technical support
- Provide scope of services for BIM Coordinator role to Project Architect
- Review and approve the DRM
