A high-end interior design studio with an international presence is seeking an ambitious Business Development Director to spearhead strategic growth in the EMEA region, based out of a new office in Dubai. This is a brand-new, high-impact role for someone who brings both commercial insight and a deep understanding of the design and real estate landscape. The studio specialises in beautiful interiors for residential, hospitality, commercial and marine sectors.
The Business Development Director Role Summary:
This strategy-led position is perfect for someone ready to shape the business development function from the ground up. Working closely with the Directors and collaborating with the London-based marketing team, the successful candidate will lead on relationship building, pipeline development, strategic partnerships, and proposals, driving the business forward.
Key Responsibilities for this Business Development Director:
- Lead business development strategy for the EMEA region, identifying key growth opportunities and partnerships
- Build strong, long-term relationships across real estate, developer, and interior design sectors
- Take ownership of pitch preparation, tailored proposals, and bid submissions
- Provide advisory insights to the leadership team on market positioning and relationship targeting
- Collaborate closely with marketing and finance teams to align messaging, budgeting, and performance tracking
- Develop and maintain a robust CRM pipeline, reporting regularly on BD metrics and activity
- Represent the studio with professionalism and creative insight at events, client meetings, and industry events
Skills and Experience for this Business Development Director Role:
- Proven experience in business development within interior design, real estate, architecture or high-end FF&E supplier environments
- Commercially savvy with a degree in Business or a related discipline
- Already based in Dubai with a strong professional network in the region
- A stable career history, showing long-term impact and progression in prior roles
- Confident in identifying and cultivating relationships that lead to meaningful opportunities
- Proficiency in CRM tools essential; InDesign is a strong advantage
- An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a lean, agile, and fast-growing studio environment
