Summary
An opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a unique design team working across a wide variety of high-end projects. Most notable luxury private residential and yacht projects for an UHNW client. You will support the Architect and Design Director, with strong CAD experience and expertise to help develop designs towards successful completion. This role will provide great opportunities to travel and exposure to UHNW clients and exceptional luxury project.
Job description:
- Collaborate with architects and designers to translate conceptual sketches and drawings into accurate CAD models and technical drawings for a diverse range of projects, including residential homes and luxury yachts.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software, adhering to industry standards and project specifications for both the home and yacht sectors.
- Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for various design projects.
- Assist in the coordination and integration of architectural plans with other engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Conduct regular quality checks on CAD models and drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements, considering the unique aspects of both residential and yacht designs.
- Stay updated on industry standards, CAD software advancements, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of design deliverables across diverse projects.
- Provide support during the construction phase by addressing design-related queries and assisting in the resolution of technical issues.
Skills necessary:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in a design or architectural firm, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality CAD models and technical drawings for high-end projects.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret and communicate design intent through accurate CAD drawings.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with architects, designers, and other team members.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving and meeting project deadlines.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) with a strong understanding of architectural drafting principles.
- Experience or proficiency in Adobe Suite and/or Photoshop would be preferable, but not essential.
