Client-Side Project Designer – Hospitality & Residential
A leading hospitality group is seeking a creative and technically astute Project Designer to join their in-house design team. This is a client-side opportunity, working on a mix of unique “special projects” across a premium global hotel portfolio, as well as select high-end residential schemes.
You’ll be involved from early concept to final site execution—perfect for a designer eager to expand both creatively and technically in a dynamic, design-led environment. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Design, gain visibility with senior stakeholders, and have the chance to travel internationally to support the delivery of bespoke, one-of-a-kind projects.
Project Designer Role Responsibilities:
Develop concept and detailed design packages for internal hospitality and residential projects
Create mood boards, materials palettes, and presentation decks for internal approval
Produce technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Liaise with project leads, consultants, FF&E suppliers, and contractors
Manage project documentation, drawing registers, and procurement details
Conduct regular site visits, both local and international, to monitor implementation and uphold design intent
Present design concepts internally, clearly articulating creative and technical rationale
Support budgeting, materials research, and value engineering processes
Balance multiple design projects simultaneously, maintaining high quality and pace
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with brand and operational goals
Candidate Profile:
A well-rounded designer with strong technical skills and sharp attention to detail
Strong knowledge of construction and fabrication methods
Comfortable working across all design phases—from concept through installation
Skilled at producing clean, professional design and documentation packages
Self-motivated, responsive to feedback, and thrives in a fast-paced office setting
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Confident presenting ideas and solutions to stakeholders
Commercially savvy, balancing creativity with practical delivery
