A high-end residential practice is seeking a creative senior interior designer or interior architect to join their team, based in central London. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of luxury hospitality and spa projects, as well as commercial workplace projects. The ideal candidate will have strong 3D skills, Adobe CS, and exceptional knowledge of the FF&E elements of the design process. Creative Senior Interior Designer Job Description

  • Manage and collaborate effectively with the design team, taking charge of and guiding the creative and conceptual aspects of projects
  • Encourage the team by challenging them, fostering innovative ideas, and assisting in the discovery of new furniture and art, while introducing unique and creative concepts
  • Display an innate flair for colour usage and a comprehensive range of design expertise, demonstrating the ability to navigate various budget levels and design aesthetics with ease
  • Formulate and uphold the installation schedule, ensuring timely project delivery
  • Ensure timely specification of products and on-schedule project deliveries
  • Demonstrate proactivity, initiative, and a willingness to take ownership, ensuring seamless client service with exceptional communication
  • Showcase the ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Review information provided by subcontractors, suppliers, and factories
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills and maintain composure under pressure, taking accountability for any challenges and proposing solutions
  • Anticipate and address challenges, risks, and issues by proactively informing management, contributing to the seamless delivery of our services
  • This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UK

Skills Necessary for this Creative Senior Interior Designer Role

  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality design
  • Demonstrates expertise in handling all facets of FF&E projects, from conceptualization to completion
  • Possess extensive experience in overseeing sizable and intricate FF&E budgets, as well as managing procurement and installations
  • Displays an outstanding eye for detail, colours, and a diverse range of product aesthetics
  • Possesses broad knowledge of materials and stays updated on industry trends
  • Knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop are essential for this role
  • Knowledge of luxury hospitality design is highly desirable, with commercial workplace knowledge an additional benefit
  • Must have a degree in Interior Design
