Project Director Role Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead and inspire a team of designers across a portfolio of high-end residential and hospitality projects in the UK and internationally. This senior leadership position combines creative direction, operational management, and business development, ensuring that every project is delivered with design excellence, efficiency, and strategic vision.
As Project Director, you will oversee all stages of design and delivery, acting as the bridge between the Creative Directors and the wider studio team. You will guide creative standards, manage workflow, foster client relationships, and ensure alignment between design intent, budget, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Creative Direction
Lead and support the design team across multiple high-end residential and hospitality projects, maintaining creative integrity and design excellence.
Mentor and develop designers at all levels, fostering a collaborative and motivated team culture.
Review design work, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure every project reflects the studio’s quality and signature style.
Project Management & Operations
Oversee workflow, programming, and resource planning, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and creative expectations.
Manage project administration, including client communications, financial forecasting, and supplier invoicing.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to optimise internal processes and reporting.
Anticipate challenges and implement proactive solutions to ensure smooth delivery.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
Act as the key liaison between Creative Directors, clients, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and consistent project direction.
Lead client presentations and maintain strong, long-term relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project initiation and onboarding for clients and collaborators, ensuring clarity and efficiency from the outset.
Business Development & Strategy
Drive business development through pitching, proposal preparation, and nurturing new client relationships.
Support the studio’s expansion into the hospitality sector while maintaining its reputation for world-class residential design.
