An established and fast-growing owner-operated business based in South West London is seeking a talented Design Manager to join their expanding team. With 10 exciting refurbishment projects kicking off—plus a newly launched flagship new-build site—this is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Architect ready to transition into a Design Manager role.
The office is well connected and easily accessible from central London, making it ideal for those seeking a balance of city access and local impact.
The Design Manager Role
You’ll work closely with the Business Development Director and Construction Manager to take charge of a pipeline of refurbishment and fit-out projects, primarily repurposing brick-built buildings (6,000–8,000 sqft). These include bespoke joinery and landscaping packages for children’s nurseries and a select number of residential properties.
You’ll bring strong coordination skills, a technical mindset, and a passion for detail—ensuring high-quality delivery on every site.
What You’ll Need
Solid experience in refurbishment projects—education or healthcare sector experience a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Eager to make an impact—asks questions, takes initiative, and collaborates confidently
Great coordination ability across design and structural disciplines
Interest in progressing into or developing within a Design Manager role
