Designer Role Summary

Workplace Interiors| London | Permanent

A leading, design-led workspace provider is looking for a talented Designer to join its in-house Design & Development team. With a growing portfolio of beautifully crafted environments, this role offers the chance to work on spaces that blend hospitality, community and high-performance design.

This is a hands-on position for a designer who enjoys owning projects, working closely with clients, and delivering thoughtful, technically robust solutions within live environments.

The role

You’ll take the lead on client-driven alterations, refurbishments and space planning projects—translating briefs into commercially viable, well-resolved design solutions. Working closely with senior designers, sales teams and project managers, you’ll balance creativity with technical delivery across a varied portfolio of occupied buildings.

From early-stage test fits through to coordinated drawing packages, you’ll play a key role in shaping environments that respond to both user experience and operational needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead design packages for client alterations and refurbishment projects
  • Meet clients, interpret briefs and present clear, considered design solutions
  • Produce space plans, test fits, FF&E layouts and technical drawing packages
  • Navigate constraints including building regulations, fire strategy and MEP coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs align with programme, cost and delivery
  • Specify materials and finishes in line with brand standards and budgets
  • Support furniture selection alongside procurement teams
  • Conduct site visits and work closely with contractors to inform design decisions
  • Maintain accurate spatial data and contribute to portfolio-wide updates

What they’re looking for

  • Experience in workplace, commercial interiors or space planning
  • Strong technical understanding of UK building regulations and fit-out processes
  • Confident producing coordinated drawing packages for delivery
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
  • A commercially aware, solutions-driven mindset
  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or similar (or equivalent experience)

Why apply?

You’ll be joining a fast-paced, collaborative team shaping some of the most progressive workspace environments in the market. The role offers real ownership, exposure to live projects, and the opportunity to develop both creatively and technically within a growing design function.

Alongside a supportive culture, there’s a strong focus on flexibility, wellbeing and long-term career development.
