A celebrated, internationally recognised architecture practice in Central London is seeking a Director-level hire to take ownership of studio operations and lead the successful delivery of global projects. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who can bring structure, clarity, and energy to a thriving, design-led environment.
You will oversee the day-to-day running of the studio while shaping and refining its overall operational strategy. Working closely with Partners, you’ll drive performance, support teams, and ensure the seamless delivery of complex, high-profile international projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of studio operations, ensuring efficiency, structure, and continuous improvement
- Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Oversee the coordination and delivery of multiple large-scale international projects
- Act as a strategic link between design teams, consultants, and clients
- Monitor programme, resourcing, and commercial performance across projects
- Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain project momentum
- Support Partners with business strategy, planning, and operational oversight
- Champion clear communication and best practice across all project stages
About You
- A dynamic and proactive leader who can hit the ground running
- Proven experience running an office or leading teams end-to-end within architecture or design
- Strong background in project delivery, coordination, or design management
- Confident managing people, driving performance, and building team culture
- Commercially aware with a strategic mindset
- Extensive experience working on international projects
- Highly organised, detail-driven, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, design-led studio environment
