A young but already well-established design studio are looking for a sophisticated FF&E focused middleweight Interior designer to work on luxurious and elegant residential projects. Joining on a permanent basis and working closely with the founder, this is a great opportunity to shadow and learn from one of the best in the industry.

Designing fully bespoke and timeless high-end residential properties in the most expensive locations in the UK and the middle east. Known for high-end renovations, styling and of course designing with their sophisticated style, neutral aesthetics, and bespoke pieces to creative completely unique projects every time.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years proven experience of high-end residential interior design, be highly creative and be skilled when it comes to FF&E. The candidate should be able to get on with things themselves and must enjoy a clean and luxurious style.

Job description:

  • Joining a small design studio at middleweight level.
  • Collaborating as a team or working individually as well as assisting the founder.
  • Source and procure bespoke joinery and FF&E items.
  • Overseeing and reviewing supplier technical drawings prior to production.
  • Coordinate FF&E, from creating designs and producing presentations to scheduling and installation.
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors on FF&E packages to quality control and curate bespoke pieces.
  • Responsible for providing creative solutions as projects develop on site.
  • Attend site meetings with suppliers, contractors, and project managers.
  • Creating detailed specifications and managing client budgets.

What you will need:

  • Must have at least 3+ years post-graduate experience of specifying FF&E for the luxury residential sector.
  • A keen intertest and passion for FF&E.
  • Thorough understanding of the design process and experience delivery residential projects through to completion.
  • Excellent design, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient supplier and product knowledge, including FF&E and finishes.
  • Having the intuition to think on your feet and be proactive.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Full proficiency using AutoCAD, In-design, Photoshop and EstiMac – this is essential.
  • Experience with private clients.
  • A degree level qualification.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and a high attention to detail.
