About this Finance Manager Role

As the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in the financial health and growth of this renowned architecture practice. You will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the firm, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities for this Finance Manager Role

Technical Role:
  • Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial reports (profit and loss, balance sheets).
  • Review income tax returns quarterly and annually.
  • Generate Monthly Management Accounts with variance analysis.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Support improvement projects like process automation.
  • Monitor the general ledger and ensure reconciliations are complete.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on accounting matters.
  • Adhere to regulations, policies, IFRS, and GAAP.
  • Provide monthly reports to Senior Management and weekly reports to parent company.
  • Handle VAT Quarterly Returns for UK and foreign operations.
  • End of Year Reporting: Turnover, Profit, Employee Bonus Scheme.
  • Coordinate with external Auditors for annual returns.
  • Collect Annual R&D data.
  • Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes for internal controls.
Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Manage and mentor team members.
  • Oversee company working capital.
  • Report to both parent company and local management.
Communications and Procedures:
  • Establish finance policies and procedures.
Requirements for this Finance Manager Role
  • Fully qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 5 years experience in both management and financial accounting
