As the healthcare sector continues its rapid evolution, this top-tier practice is expanding their Manchester studio and seeking a talented Healthcare Associate Architect to help lead the next generation of transformative healthcare spaces.

You’ll be central to delivering high-profile projects that not only redefine healthcare infrastructure but also significantly improve the experiences of patients, clinicians, and communities alike.
In this Associate Architect role, you’ll:
Lead major healthcare schemes from concept through to delivery, both in the UK and internationally
Shape the strategic direction of an expanding healthcare portfolio and contribute to the practice’s continued sector leadership
Be hands-on with complex acute hospitals, research centres, diagnostics hubs, and healthcare masterplans
Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable, and clinically effective designs
Conduct research and challenge the norm – pushing healthcare design beyond traditional expectations
Play a key role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative studio culture
What you’ll bring:
Significant experience in healthcare architecture, ideally within the NHS and/or private healthcare sector
Strong technical capability and project leadership across RIBA Stages 2–6
A keen interest in healthcare planning, policy, and innovation
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
A passion for design quality and evidence-based solutions
ARB-registered and ideally already operating at Associate or Senior Architect level
