Key Responsibilities for this Heritage and Conservation Architect Role

  • Collaborate with the team on diverse architectural and heritage projects, spanning conservation schemes to contemporary designs.
  • Conduct architectural assessments and surveys of historic buildings, documenting existing conditions and assessing structural integrity.
  • Develop conservation and restoration strategies that respect the original character and significance of heritage assets while meeting contemporary functional requirements.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents for heritage projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Engage effectively with clients and stakeholders, showcasing strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Oversee technical detailing and project management activities to meet objectives.
Skills and Qualifications for this Heritage and Conservation Architect Role
  • 3 years post Part III Experience
  • Strong design and drawing abilities balanced with great understanding of architectural design principles.
  • Experience in UK Building and Planning regulations.
  • Track record of successful project management across all RIBA stages.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills.
  • Competent in technical detailing and experience in large new build projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and NBS.
