Salary Guide: £40,000 – £50,000

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interior Architect/ Project Architect to join our client’s dynamic team. You will be responsible for working alongside their Interior Design team to develop and translate a client’s brief into a concept for the architectural space. You will be involved in space planning and producing detailed drawing packages for lighting, joinery, kitchens and bathrooms, under the direction of senior interior architects and directors.

Job description:

  • Collaborate with the Interior Design team to develop the concept for the architectural space.
  • Produce detailed drawing packages for lighting, joinery, kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Prepare all project documentation, including schedules and specifications of free issue items.
  • Provide administrative and architectural support across different work stages.
  • Visit sites to conduct surveys and ensure that design details are being carried out correctly.
  • Manage the deliveries and installations of interior architectural elements.
  • Assist with the design of bespoke furniture items.
  • Manage design changes and resolve any problems that arise during construction.

Skills necessary:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a design studio and a portfolio of high-level projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Nscape is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of current building regulations and technical/construction details.
  • Experience in producing detailed design packages for tender.
  • Excellent spatial planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to checking for errors.
  • Extensive experience in managing contractors and trades.
  • Ability to work alongside other professional teams on site.
  • A conscientious creative who pushes conceptual design and develops new ideas.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • A dedicated approach, considering every design detail.
  • Driven and motivated to learn and progress.
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems and opportunities, and find solutions.
