We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interior Design Associate to join a central London based award-winning team. This studio is known for their exceptional projects across the travel and hospitality sectors worldwide. This is a highly creative senior design management role that involves overseeing the interior design team on projects.

This client is looking or confident client facer, that’s keen to travel, confident in sketching, someone highly organised and very familiar with working on large scale hospitality projects – it is advantageous if you have any spa design experience for this role! Job Description for this Interior Design Associate Role

  • Guide and inspire the project team, ensuring effective resource and time management.
  • Manage multiple design projects from concept to delivery, maintaining deadlines and budgets.
  • Develop creative design concepts with technical and commercial awareness, and oversee the production of CAD drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing solutions focused service and managing expectations.
  • Ensure all designs are technically competent, practical, and compliant with relevant regulations, especially Solas/IMO and fire regulations for FF&E in commercial properties.
  • Organize and chair project meetings, collaborate with the PMO on project programming, and provide regular updates to the Project team, Directors, and PMO.

Skills Necessary for this Interior Design Associate Role

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and nurture a project team.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of commercial suppliers for finishes, materials, and FF&E.
  • Exceptional design knowledge with excellent hand sketching and experience across the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Indepth understanding of Solas/IMO regulations and fire regulations for FF&E in commercial properties.
  • Ability to work with demanding clients and timeframes, providing sound solutions within budget constraints.
  • Degree in interior design or equivalent
