Summary of Interior Designer Role

A luxury hospitality studio with exciting projects across a range of international locations, are seeking a talented interior designer to join their London team. They’re a highly creative team, and so are looking for someone with an organic passion for luxury interiors and a keen attention to detail, with proven experience working to the highest standards of work. A great opportunity to consolidate and develop design approaches centred around the senses, to creative sensitive and beautiful spaces.

Interior Designer Job Description:

  • For the Senior position, manage a small team, fostering effective creative collaboration and optimizing performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve timely delivery of project goals within budgetary constraints.
  • Take the initiative in creating technical packs for Tender, either independently or in collaboration with team members.
  • Develop furniture schedules and FF&E packs to align with project specifications.
  • Facilitate communication channels with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Attend site meetings as necessary to oversee project progress and address any emerging issues.
  • Provide regular updates to directors, highlighting project milestones and addressing challenges.
  • Work closely with the team to brainstorm concepts, develop mood boards, and craft comprehensive presentations.
  • Actively participate in presenting concepts to clients, serving as a primary point of contact.
  • Foster a positive team environment by demonstrating a constructive attitude and approach.
  • This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UK.

Skills Necessary for this Interior Designer Role

  • Previous experience with spa, and wellness projects preferred.
  • Highly creative design approach, with an ability to create immersive experiences, paying attention to both macro and micro-scale design elements.
  • Acute perception and consideration for the journey, sound, and senses to elevate the overall guest experience.
  • Manage and oversee multiple design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring efficient resource and time management.
  • Demonstrate experience and understanding of the luxury marine sector.
  • Utilize excellent design knowledge and skills to develop creative concepts.
  • Combine technical and commercial awareness to produce innovative designs.
  • Possess technical detail knowledge from conception through construction stages.
  • Familiarity with commercial suppliers of finishes, materials, and FF&E.
  • Knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop are essential for this role
  • Must have a degree in Interior Design or equivalent
