Summary

A rare opportunity to join a Real Estate Investor as part of their recently formed in house design studio as an Interior Designer. An exciting opening to be part of a rapidly growing arm to the already well-established, investor and manager of UK commercial workplace properties.

This role will be a great opening to be part of the early core design team, creating huge potential for career progression as the department grows. Bringing your creativity, design flair and workplace project experience to this start-up mentality but very well financially backed company.

Job description:

• A key member of the design and delivery of successful, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing workplace projects.
• Coming up with design narratives, concepts, and visualising ideas.
• Creating space planning, and test fits.
• Prepare and run projects presentations.
• Manage external outsource such as visualisers and drawing support.
• Materials, finishes and samples selection.
• Working across multiple projects of varying scales at different stages.
• Running project and client workshops.
• Working independently and collaboratively.
• Visit sites around the UK.
• Communication and coordinate with the team throughout all stages of projects.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors as necessary.

Skills necessary:

• Must have 6+ years’ experience in the industry.
• Must have commercial workplace project experience with a proven portfolio of completed projects.
• Strong presentation and pitching skills.
• project running skills and experience.
• Experience on site and project delivery.
• Good communicator across the direct team and with suppliers and contractors.
• An ability to visualiser design ideas, likely using photoshop or hand sketches.
• Skills across all stages of the project from package formation to samples selection.
• Must have an understanding and application of building standards and codes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong design awareness and up to speed with market trends.
• Confident client facing, with great attention to detail.
• Excellent space planning skills.
• Ambitious, self-motivated, creative, team player, energetic and personable.
