A forward-thinking, multidisciplinary design studio is on the hunt for a talented Middleweight Interior Designer to join their passionate team. Known for their beautifully crafted, concept-driven projects across luxury hospitality and bespoke commercial sectors, this studio offers the ideal space for a designer who’s ready to take ownership of exciting, detail-rich projects and grow into a project lead.

What you’ll be doing as the Interior Designer:

As a Middleweight Designer, you’ll be working closely with the wider team across all stages of the design process — from the earliest mood boards and concept development through to technical drawing packs and contract administration. You’ll juggle multiple projects, contribute creatively, and gradually take the reins on your own schemes, liaising with clients and external consultants with the support of a senior mentor.
This is a role for someone who loves collaboration, thrives in a fast-paced, design-led studio, and is ready to take the next step toward becoming a confident all-rounder.

Interior Designer Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Support or lead on early-stage design: mood boards, sketches, layouts, and material palettes
  • Source FF&E, accessories, and styling items
  • Contribute to polished client presentations using InDesign
  • Collaborate with external visualisers and present ideas internally
  • Prepare drawing packages: plans, elevations, joinery, and architectural details
  • Design and specify FF&E and bespoke elements
  • Help manage sub-team tasks and mentor junior designers
  • Ensure deliverables align with programme deadlines
  • Assist in reviewing contractor/shop drawings and RFIs
  • Update design packages for construction issue
  • Attend site and design meetings, ensuring the design vision is upheld
  • Coordinate with contractors and external consultants professionally

What they’re looking for in an Interior Designer:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in interior design, ideally across all project stages
  • A confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and external consultants professionally
  • Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and technical detailing
  • Enthusiastic about taking creative initiative and evolving into a project leader

Software Skills:

  • AutoCAD 2D – essential
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign + Photoshop) – for stunning presentations
  • 3D software (SketchUp, Rhino, or similar)
  • Comfortable working on a PC

Perks + Culture:

  • Creative, collaborative studio culture with a genuine passion for design excellence
  • Personal mentorship and professional development support
  • Opportunity to lead projects and grow your career in a supportive, design-led environment
  • Exposure to a diverse range of typologies — no two projects are ever the same!
  • WFH and Summer hours
