Interior Designer (Mid–Senior) — Part-Time Contract

A London-based interior design studio with a strong reputation for refined, high-end residential projects is seeking a mid–senior Interior Designer to join on a part-time contract basis.
The studio delivers carefully considered homes with a focus on craftsmanship, bespoke furniture and thoughtful detailing. Projects move fluidly from concept through to installation, often in close collaboration with architects, makers and specialist suppliers.
This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys being involved across the full lifecycle of a project — contributing creatively while also supporting the practical delivery of beautifully executed interiors.
The Role
Working closely with the studio lead, you will support projects from early concept stages through to procurement and installation. The position involves developing furniture and joinery designs, sourcing pieces and materials, preparing drawings in Vectorworks, and assisting with project coordination.
You will also attend occasional client meetings and provide light administrative support where needed, helping keep projects running smoothly. There is some overlap with the architectural team, so confidence collaborating across disciplines is important.

- Mid–senior level experience within a high-end residential interior design studio
- Strong knowledge of furniture specification and bespoke joinery
- Proficiency in Vectorworks
- Comfortable working across concept, sourcing, procurement and installation
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to take initiative
Contract Details
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Minimum 6 months (likely through to the end of the year)
Schedule: 3 days per week initially
Location: London
Rate: Competitive contract rate, depending on experience
