IT Manager Role Summary
£40,000 – £70,000 | Central London | Full Time | Hybrid
IT Manager required for a globally recognised hospitality interior design studio with a London presence. The studio delivers interiors for luxury hotels, resorts and branded residences worldwide.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected international design practice and play a key role in supporting the operational and technical success of the London studio.
Due to continued growth, the London office is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the local IT function and ensure the reliability, security and continuous improvement of its technology infrastructure.
Role Overview
The IT Manager will oversee daily IT operations while leading infrastructure, systems and cybersecurity initiatives. The role involves managing internal IT engineers, supporting end users and ensuring that all technology systems operate effectively and align with global IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the local IT department, managing projects and day-to-day operations across servers, networks, cybersecurity, desktops and applications
- Design and implement network infrastructure and security measures to support evolving business needs
- Develop and maintain IT policies, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and system hardening in line with global standards
- Lead server consolidation and virtualisation initiatives to modernise legacy infrastructure
- Provide 1st–3rd line support to IT engineers, coordinate vendor escalations and oversee monitoring, maintenance and system patching
- Support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service delivery
- Maintain incident management processes and documentation
- Collaborate with management to update Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
- Evaluate new technologies and manage vendor relationships, contracts and asset management
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum 10 years’ IT experience, including at least five years in a managerial role
- Strong expertise in cybersecurity and network technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, SIEM, MDM, routers, switches and endpoint security)
- Experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Office 365, Azure and Active Directory
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as VMware, UniTrends, Juniper firewalls and enterprise network infrastructure
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
