Project Lead – Hospitality Interiors (Architectural Assistant / Recently Qualified Architect)

Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Recently Qualified Architect needed by a well-established, industry-renowned construction company behind some of London’s most iconic hospitality spaces, think luxurious members clubs and landmark restaurants. With a brand-new interior design studio opening in central London, they’re now looking to bring on a talented Project Lead with a flair for high-end hospitality design and a strong background in site coordination and technical delivery.
If you’re a Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Recently Qualified Architect with experience across RIBA Stages 3–5, this is a rare chance to help shape the creative and technical identity of a growing studio from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the design development of luxury hospitality projects (bars, restaurants, private clubs) from concept through to site.
Creating detailed drawing packages including bespoke joinery, spatial layouts, elevations, and FF&E specifications.
Managing technical coordination, consultant input, and client liaison, particularly through RIBA Stages 3–5.
Attending site visits and resolving design issues in real-time.
Mentoring junior team members and contributing to internal design reviews (if senior level).
Collaborating with a vibrant, multidisciplinary team in a brand-new studio space.
Sourcing and ordering materials, finishes, and producing mood boards and sample boards.
What You’ll Need
3–5+ years’ experience as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Recently Qualified Architect.
Proven experience in the hospitality sector, especially bars, restaurants, or luxury venues.
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and planning frameworks.
High proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop.
Solid detailing skills: joinery, construction build-ups, and FF&E.
On-site experience and confidence coordinating with contractors and consultants.
A proactive and collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
Fluent in English and currently residing in the UK.
Bonus Points If You Have
Familiarity with AI design tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Midjourney) or rendering software like D5.
A keen interest in the intersection of architecture and interiors in hospitality spaces.
