Merchandiser Role Summary
Merchandiser opportunity with a fast-growing luxury interiors brand with a strong international presence across fabrics, wallpapers, furniture and accessories. The brand works closely with leading US showrooms and a global network of high-end interior designers and is entering an exciting new phase of growth.
This role suits a commercially minded Merchandiser looking to take the next step within a luxury interiors or homewares environment. Reporting directly to the Founders and working closely with the Sales team and Head of Marketing, the position offers genuine responsibility, progression and the chance to make a visible impact within a supportive, close-knit team.
The Role
Working across product development, inventory management and commercial performance, the Merchandiser will oversee supplier relationships, stock, forecasting and range planning across multiple luxury product categories.
- Sourcing and managing supplier relationships, including negotiating costs, pricing and payment terms
- Overseeing inventory management and purchase orders
- Managing quality control across all product categories
- Supporting product development, including sampling and design input
- Building and maintaining product ranges, supporting range planning, reviews and forecasting
- Tracking product performance, margins and industry trends
- Creating, managing and maintaining product data within inventory systems
- Managing stock of samples and showroom assets
- Forecasting sales and reporting on product, profit and collection performance
- Working closely with Finance on forecasting, cash flow and spend
The Candidate
- Minimum of three years’ experience in buying, merchandising, production or a similar role
- Background in homewares is essential, ideally with fabrics and wallpapers
- Highly commercial and analytical with strong numerical ability
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence across Microsoft Office
- Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail
- Genuine interest in luxury interiors and the design industry
- Flexible, proactive and comfortable working within a growing business
