The Role
This studio is on the lookout for a talented Midweight or Senior Interior Designer with solid hospitality experience and hands-on site coordination skills. You’ll play a key role in crafting elegant, detailed interiors while shaping the studio’s creative and technical output. Depending on your level, you’ll have opportunities to lead design packages, mentor junior colleagues, or grow into those responsibilities over time.
What You’ll Be Doing
Producing comprehensive design development drawing packages including bespoke joinery and technical details
Attending site meetings and coordinating with consultants
Adapting drawings and resolving design challenges in real time during site delivery
Collaborating across teams to ensure seamless execution from concept through to completion
Communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, and contractors
Mentoring junior designers and participating in internal design reviews (senior level)
Your Day-to-Day
Approaching every project with creativity and a sharp eye for detail
Creating mood boards and assembling sample and finish boards
Producing detailed working drawings using AutoCAD (plans, elevations, joinery details) and FF&E specifications
Managing multiple projects to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
Contributing to the growth and development of the studio’s interior design team
What You’ll Need
Minimum 4 years’ interior design experience with a strong focus on hospitality
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop
Proven ability to produce complete design development packages, including joinery and technical detailing
Experience coordinating on-site, working with external consultants, and troubleshooting design issues in real time
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A proactive, collaborative approach with a keen eye for quality and detail
Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and British Standards
Degree qualified in interior design or architecture
Willingness to travel to sites as required
Fluent English speaker and UK resident
Bonus Skills (not essential)
Experience with AI design tools like Midjourney or ChatGPT
Familiarity with rendering software such as D5 Render
