Summary of Mid-weight Designer Role

A renowned luxury hospitality studio is seeking an enthusiastic and talented mid-weight designer, with 4 years minimum experience to join the team. The studio are looking for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, offering an opportunity to gain incredible insight and experience of high-end projects with an outstanding team of designers and creative minds.

Mid-Weight Designer Job Description

  • Proficiently generate drawings adhering to the highest standards and template specifications.
  • Provide comprehensive support for project administration tasks such as filing, sourcing suppliers, managing incoming and outgoing drawings, and organizing presentation boards.
  • Engage proactively in internal team meetings and creative reviews, offering insights and ideas to enhance project outcomes.
  • Assist in the research, selection, and organization of finishes, sanitaryware, and hardware that align with design objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of scheme designs, showcasing attention to detail and creativity.
  • Accompany senior designers on final site visits, providing support for FF&E and styling requirements.
  • Attend to specific project needs such as furniture sketching, electrical drawings, and models, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Active participation in brainstorming sessions to explore and discuss creative concepts at suitable project junctures.
  • Capable of optimizing designs to align with project budget constraints without compromising design integrity.
  • Proficient in aligning client briefs with studio design principles, ensuring design work remains coherent with the project’s objectives.
  • This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UK

Skills Necessary for this Mid-Weight Designer Role

  • Proven experience throughout all phases of the design process.
  • Confidence in client facing elements of the role.
  • A strong people-person, collaborating well with teams.
  • A pro-active nature and enjoys researching industry trends and new sources.
  • Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD are essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of high-end hospitality interior design highly desirable
  • Must have a degree in Interior Design
