Mid-Weight Interior Architect Role Summary
We’re working with a Central London design studio seeking a Mid-Weight Interior Architect to join their team. Known for delivering beautifully detailed interiors, they specialise in high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects across the UK and internationally.
The Role
This is a hybrid creative-technical role — ideal for someone who is just as confident creating elegant spatial layouts and concepts as they are producing drawing packs, bespoke joinery details, and FF&E schedules. You’ll work across all project stages from early feasibility to site delivery, collaborating with designers, consultants, and craftspeople to ensure every detail is executed with precision.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative, functional, and beautiful design concepts tailored to client briefs
- Create floor plans, elevations, joinery, and lighting proposals in AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Research, specify, and detail bespoke finishes, materials, and lighting
- Produce presentation packs and 3D visuals for internal and client-facing reviews
- Collaborate with artisans to develop custom design features
- Present and refine design proposals in response to feedback
Technical + Delivery
- Coordinate tender documentation, finishes schedules, and ironmongery packages
- Ensure compliance with UK building regulations and procurement standards
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the build process
- Maintain design integrity and quality on-site
Team + Project Management
- Support project timelines and key design milestones
- Manage multiple project packages and external coordination
- Report to senior team members and uphold studio standards
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to team reviews
