An in-house hospitality group is seeking a Mid-weight Interior Designer to join their team in Oxfordshire, UK. This role offers the opportunity to work within a creative and friendly team dedicated to crafting exquisite pubs, restaurants, and boutique hotel rooms across a diverse estate of historic buildings.

Mid-Weight Interior Designer Job Description

  • Collaborate closely with the head of design throughout the entire design and development process, from initial concept to final completion.
  • Manage multiple projects, overseeing design, installation, and styling phases.
  • Develop and deliver concepts and presentations.
  • Produce detailed interior, furniture, and lighting drawings, including bespoke joinery such as bars.
  • Provide accurate design information, schedules, and budget tracking.
  • Attend site meetings, making design decisions as needed, and coordinate onsite installations.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
  • Stay updated on interior design trends, particularly in hospitality and rustic country interiors.
  • This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UK

Skills Necessary for this Mid-Weight Interior Designer Role

  • Proven experience as an interior designer with a robust portfolio showcasing previous design work.
  • Strong team player with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in detailed working drawings and designs for bespoke joinery.
  • Experience collaborating with construction teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible, proactive, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Comprehensive supplier and product knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in designing pubs, restaurants, and hotels.
  • Knowledge of current design trends and working with listed buildings.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks.
  • Understanding of relevant building and commercial regulations, as well as accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with hospitality operational requirements and creating functional interiors.
  • Must have a degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
