A boutique interior design studio based in Central London is seeking a talented Midweight Interior Designer with at least 5 years’ experience. This is a maternity cover role, perfect for someone ready to take ownership of residential and boutique commercial projects across interiors, garden design, styling, and events.
You’ll be joining a small, passionate team working closely with the Creative Director from concept through to completion, managing every detail of the design and delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop detailed design packages across multiple projects
Translate architectural drawings into cohesive interior design concepts
Produce and update FF&E schedules, mood boards, and presentations
Lead sourcing of furniture, finishes, antiques, and fittings – both online and in-person
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and makers to brief and manage works
Coordinate procurement: obtain quotes, negotiate rates, track budgets and lead times
Create clear documentation and specifications for contractors and trades
Confidently sketch ideas by hand and in CAD to scale for internal and external use
Oversee project timelines, maintain documents, and ensure smooth delivery
Support styling, visual merchandising and brand-related events (e.g. product launches)
Assist with content for social media and website where needed
Key Skills & Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-end residential interiors
Excellent knowledge of design development, sourcing and procurement
Strong communication and project management skills
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, Keynote
Strong Excel skills and confident working with schedules and inventories
Able to hand sketch and detail to scale confidently
Comfortable working in a Mac-based studio
Experience with Smartsheets a bonus
