Middleweight FF&E Designer Job Description

  • Design and deliver FF&E packages across various project scales and sectors
  • Work within the design team with an extensive understanding of finishes, furniture, and lighting, delivering
  • Exhibit a genuine passion for luxury interiors and trends, approaching tasks consistently and creatively
  • Showcase experience in completing specifications to a high standard
  • Ability to generate and manage FF&E and OS&E schedules while tracking the supply chain effectively
  • Create sample mood boards for client presentations at a high standard
  • Work both collaboratively as part of a larger team and independently on projects when required
  • Possess a confident, positive, and grounded demeanor, with the self-motivation to take ownership of FF&E on projects

Skills Necessary for this Middleweight FF&E Designer Role

  • Previous experience in effectively dealing with contractors and sub teams on site
  • Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of design and project execution
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, coupled with a passion for FF&E and hospitality design
  • Proficient in Vectorworks, Photoshop, SketchUp, and MS Office
  • Proficient in creating mood boards and providing samples
  • Skilled in conceptual design, incorporating colour and texture effectively
  • Excellent understanding of FF&E selection, encompassing materials, finishes, detailing, and scheduling
  • Demonstrated experience in producing detailed FF&E specifications, including costings, materials, finishes, and sanitary schedules
  • Ability to independently manage time, generate schedules, and efficiently oversee project workflows
  • Possess a relevant degree in interior design or equivalent
