Working across high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects, this is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and detail-driven designer looking to take the next step in their career.

About the Middleweight FF&E Designer Role

You’ll play a key role in developing and delivering beautifully crafted FF&E schemes, from early concept through to installation. Working closely with interior designers and architects, you’ll be immersed in every stage of the design process—sourcing, specifying, and managing procurement for stunning interiors that are as refined as they are distinctive.

Key Responsibilities for this Middleweight FF&E Designer Role

  • Support the development of FF&E concepts and moodboards that reflect the studio’s elevated design ethos
  • Prepare and present FF&E packages including materials, finishes, and furniture selections
  • Produce FF&E layouts in AutoCAD and contribute to the wider interior design documentation
  • Source custom, vintage, and bespoke furniture, fittings, and finishes to suit individual briefs
  • Collaborate with suppliers, makers, and procurement agents to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Maintain project FF&E budgets, tracking spend and preparing cost schedules
  • Evaluate samples and prototypes for quality, suitability, and design alignment
  • Assist in preparing presentation packs and participate in client and supplier meetings
  • Stay up to date with trends, materials, and supplier innovations within the luxury design space

Who You Are

  • 4–6 years of experience working on high-end residential or hospitality projects in a design studio environment
  • BA degree in Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creative flair and a refined aesthetic across FF&E schemes
  • Confident working through all project phases, with solid knowledge of procurement and supplier coordination
  • Skilled in presenting ideas clearly—both visually and verbally
  • Organised, proactive, and collaborative, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Up to speed with UK design standards and familiar with project stages

Software & Technical Skills

  • AutoCAD for 2D drawing packages
  • SketchUp for concept development
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) for presentations
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for spec sheets and cost tracking
  • Experience with FF&E specification tools like EstiMac or similar is a plus
