A leading London design studio is seeking a talented Middleweight Interior Designer to join its award-winning team. About the Role
The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of professional experience in hospitality or residential design, with proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion. As Middleweight Interior Designer, you’ll work alongside Associates, Senior Designers, and Juniors, taking ownership of key design packages and delivering exceptional results across multiple live projects.
This role provides exposure to every stage of the design process — from creative concepting and technical detailing to site coordination and client presentations — offering a genuine platform for growth and creative impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and deliver interior design projects including layouts, elevations, and material palettes
- Collaborate with senior team members to interpret client briefs and maintain design integrity
- Prepare detailed construction, legal, and planning drawings
- Assist with concept development through 3D sketching, modelling, and image sourcing
- Create high-quality presentation materials using Adobe Creative Suite
- Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Attend site visits and meetings, assisting with project coordination and administration
- Contribute to and maintain the studio’s design library and material samples
- Mentor junior designers and promote a collaborative, creative team environment
- Ensure project documentation complies with health and safety standards
Skills & Experience
- 3–6 years’ experience in interior design, ideally within hospitality or luxury residential sectors
- Comprehensive understanding of interior architecture, furniture, and construction detailing
- Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations and project delivery stages
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines effectively
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for design innovation and quality
