This renowned London-based design studio, celebrated for its unparalleled craftsmanship and creativity, is expanding its horizons and seeking an exceptional Middleweight Interior Designer with a flair for FF&E to contribute to the flourishing superyacht projects division. As a Middleweight Interior Designer in our growing super yacht projects team, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the interiors of some of the world’s most extraordinary vessels. Your proficiency in FF&E design and your exceptional skill set will contribute to the realization of our visionary concepts, upholding the highest standards of luxury and craftsmanship.
Job description:
- Employ your extensive experience in interior yacht design to contribute to all phases of projects, from initial concept development to project completion, whether working independently or as part of a team.
- Showcase your prowess in bespoke FF&E design, creating unique, luxurious, and functional pieces that seamlessly integrate with the vessel’s interiors.
- Skillfully engage with clients, presenting design solutions with a focus on delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers, effectively communicating design requirements and reviewing technical drawings before manufacturing.
- Execute FF&E space planning, developing mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings that serve as the blueprint for stunning yacht interiors.
- Create impactful client presentations that vividly convey your design vision and thought process.
- Formulate comprehensive project costing schedules and budgets, ensuring a seamless execution that aligns with client expectations.
- Source and procure both new and antique FF&E pieces, demonstrating your keen eye for detail and discernment in selecting exceptional items.
- Contribute to the design of bespoke joinery and FF&E, refining the vessel’s interiors to perfection.
Skills necessary:
- Previous experience in interior yacht design, with a portfolio showcasing your involvement in luxury yacht projects.
- Demonstrated capability in overseeing projects from inception to completion, whether independently or collaboratively.
- Proficiency in bespoke FF&E design, illustrating your ability to craft exceptional, functional pieces that elevate interiors.
- Confidence in client-facing interactions, with a proven record of delivering exemplary service.
- Strong experience liaising with suppliers, ensuring precise communication and impeccable execution.
- Expertise in FF&E space planning, mood board creation, and the production of technical drawings.
- Familiarity with producing client presentations and comprehensive project costing schedules.
- Ability to source and procure both new and antique FF&E items, showcasing your discerning taste.
- Capability in designing bespoke joinery and FF&E, adding a touch of uniqueness to every project.
