Middleweight Interior Designer Role Summary
A design-led, modern contemporary interior architecture studio based in Hackney (soon relocating to Clerkenwell/Farringdon) is seeking a strong middleweight interior designer to join their growing team. With a wave of exciting new projects and some fresh press coverage on the way, this is a brilliant opportunity to grow with a studio that’s truly making its mark.
The Studio
Sophisticated, light, and refined — their aesthetic is modern contemporary with a neutral palette, focusing on large-scale bespoke interiors. Known for pushing creative boundaries while delivering detailed, high-quality work, they offer a tight-knit, collaborative team culture and celebrate wins with regular studio lunches and dinners.
The Role
As a middleweight designer, you’ll be involved across multiple projects and varied stages, from early concept to completion. Expect to jump in where needed — whether that’s FF&E, drawing packs, technical detailing, or procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist across all stages of multiple design projects
- Deliver strong technical drawings and detailing with confidence
- Source and specify FF&E, with good knowledge of materials and finishes
- Manage procurement and supplier coordination
- Collaborate closely with the design team, directors, and external consultants
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in interior design
- Proficient in Programmer (similar to Esti/Estie), Adobe Suite and confident in technical software
- A true all-rounder: creative flair, technical precision, and strong organisational skills
- Comfortable working across stages and multitasking across projects
- A team player with a passion for modern, detail-led design
- Someone who’s excited to grow with the studio and help shape its future
The Offer
- Working hours: 9:00 – 5:30
- Warm, ambitious team culture that values design and collaboration
- Studio lunches and dinners to celebrate success
- A big moment ahead, with new press features soon to be released
