Middleweight Interior Designer role within an established, internationally respected interior design studio based in Central London. The Role
You will be an integral part of a small, collaborative studio, contributing across a diverse portfolio of luxury private residential, hospitality and commercial projects. This role suits a designer who enjoys hands-on involvement across all stages, values attention to detail, and takes pride in translating concept into beautifully resolved interiors across different typologies.
The ideal candidate will bring a confident, expressive portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of pattern, texture and colour, alongside solid technical capability and experience navigating the differing demands of private homes, hospitality environments and commercial spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce clear, well resolved technical drawings including joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and floor plans using AutoCAD
- Develop design documentation for residential, hospitality and commercial schemes, understanding their distinct functional and regulatory requirements
- Create thoughtful mood boards, presentation materials and design packs using Adobe Creative Suite
- Prepare accurate costings and specifications using Esti with a considered and methodical approach
- Work within the studio’s established aesthetic while contributing fresh ideas and creative nuance
- Liaise professionally with contractors, suppliers and consultants to uphold design intent from concept through to completion
- Source and specify FF and E across residential and hospitality projects, demonstrating strong material knowledge and an appreciation for quality and craftsmanship
- Manage multiple workstreams with care, organisation and consistency while maintaining high standards throughout
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience within a high-end or boutique interior design studio
- Proven experience working across commercial, hospitality and private residential projects
- Portfolio showcasing layered, characterful interiors with a refined decorative sensibility
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, Esti and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience producing detailed drawing packages and bespoke joinery
- Confident communicator with well-developed supplier relationships
- Naturally organised, detail oriented and dependable
- A collaborative and considered approach to studio life
- Valid right to work in the UK
