Middleweight Interior Designer Role Summary:
Our client is seeking a Middleweight Interior Designer to join their team. You will need to demonstrate a strong track record of managing all aspects of residential projects, from concept to handover.
You may have worked for larger firms and are now looking to join a boutique practice where you will run your own projects, dealing with clients on a daily basis and reporting to the creative director.
Applicants need to be London-based or live within a short commute to the studio in West London.
Middleweight Interior Designer Role:
- Develop large renovation projects, acting as project leader under the guidance of the creative director
- Oversee client meetings, guiding clients through the interior selection process
- Responsibility for producing the project programme and monitoring financials
- Oversee other project leaders running smaller projects
- Check schedules and design intent/tender package
- Liaise with the FF&E team and review FF&E designs, furniture plans and pricing
- Specifying and scheduling of all finishes
- Management of project budgets
- Help train and mentor juniors
- Improve company processes and systems
Knowledge:
- Interior Design or Architecture degree
- Experience of designing and managing large, high-end renovation projects from start to finish
- Client & site liaison
- Good knowledge of FF&E suppliers
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp and EstiMac
Qualities:
- Hard-working team player who is highly organised
- Passion for design and an eye for detail
- Professional and friendly with clients, suppliers and contractors
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Full-driving licence would be a bonus, but not essential
