A close-knit, design-focused interior architecture studio in East London is looking for a driven and hands-on Middleweight Interior Designer to join their small team. About the Studio:
This is a very small, collaborative team working across beautifully considered private residential and boutique commercial interiors. Every team member is deeply involved in the full lifecycle of a project – from concept to delivery – and the studio has a reputation for producing thoughtful, bespoke designs with technical precision.
The Middleweight Interior Designer Role:
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Producing fully coordinated drawing and specification packages for tender and construction
- Developing detail drawings for joinery, finishes, and bespoke elements
- Assisting with concept development and mood boards
- Sourcing FF&E and coordinating with suppliers
- Attending site visits and resolving design or build issues in real-time
- Working closely with clients and consultants to maintain clear communication throughout the project
- Supporting the architect and Part II with design coordination and project administration
About You:
- 3+ years’ experience in interior architecture or interior design (UK-based preferred)
- Excellent AutoCAD or Vectorworks proficiency
- Good understanding of UK building regs and site coordination
- Great eye for materials and FF&E – from sourcing to specification
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a small team
- Confident client communication and presentation skills
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a desire to grow and learn
