Midweight FF and E Designer – Cape Town

Where creativity meets craftsmanship, across continents.

We’re seeking a sharp, passionate Midweight FF and E Designer to join a thriving, design-led studio. Working from Cape Town, you’ll be a vital part of bringing luxurious, art-infused interiors to life across residential, hospitality, and commercial projects worldwide.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Directors and Head of FF&E, you’ll champion FF&E, accessories, and art schemes from initial concept right through to installation. Your role spans scheming, sourcing, budgeting, procurement, and styling, always with an eye on quality and the client’s vision.

You’ll:

  • Collaborate with creative leaders and clients to define design direction
  • Develop mood boards, presentations, and detailed FF&E documentation
  • Source and procure bespoke joinery, furniture, lighting, textiles, and art
  • Manage budgets and procurement schedules with precision
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and installation teams
  • Demonstrate technical prowess by reviewing and producing detailed drawings for bespoke items
  • Oversee smooth installations, ensuring the highest standards are met
  • Conduct site visits in Cape Town

Who you are:

  • A natural creative with an exceptional eye for scale, colour, detail, and balance
  • A confident problem solver with a proactive approach and a genuine passion for design and art
  • Someone with great supplier knowledge and a knack for navigating budgets and trade costs
  • A team player who thrives working independently or collaboratively, with a friendly, professional manner
  • Experienced with basic CAD skills, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, and ideally Vectorworks
  • Fluent in English with impeccable communication and presentation skills

What you bring:

  • 4+ years post-graduate experience, including at least 3 years in luxury residential FF&E, ideally with international projects under your belt
  • Strong understanding of FF&E suppliers and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of EstiMac, Programa, or similar procurement software a plus
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design or a related creative field

Where you’ll be:

  • Based in Cape Town —you should have a dedicated office setup as the studio doesn’t have an office. You will be doing site visits.

Why join them?

Because they believe great design is a collaborative journey enriched by diverse perspectives. You’ll join a studio that values integrity, artistry, and a positive approach to every project. Design is more than aesthetics – it’s about creating meaningful spaces where art and life intersect.
