Midweight Interior Designer Role Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Midweight Interior Designer to join a small, friendly team where your ideas matter and your work makes a visible difference.
We’re working with an award-winning London interior design studio that specialises in creating beautiful, meaningful spaces for senior living and healthcare environments. Their mission? To design interiors that feel warm, elegant, and genuinely enhance wellbeing and dignity.
The Role
You’ll work across a range of thoughtful, design-led projects – from boutique care homes to later-living communities – creating schemes that balance comfort, practicality, and timeless style.
You’ll be involved in every stage of the design process, from concept through to completion. This includes developing design concepts, preparing presentation and drawing packs, sourcing materials and furniture, and helping to coordinate installations on site.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
- Develop and present creative design and FF&E concepts
- Prepare detailed design documentation, tender, and construction packs
- Create beautiful material and mood boards
- Source fabrics, finishes, and furniture, liaising with suppliers and contractors
- Manage samples, quotes, and lead times
- Support site coordination and attend meetings or installations
- Take ownership of smaller design packages, while supporting senior designers on larger schemes
About You
You’re a creative, organised designer who enjoys collaborating and thrives in a hands-on studio setting.
You’ll bring:
- 3–5 years’ post-graduate interior design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience delivering projects from concept through to technical stages
- Strong drawing and FF&E scheduling skills
- A background in hospitality, high-end residential, or later living design
- A friendly, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
An interest in healthcare or dementia design is a bonus, but not essential – what matters most is your passion for creating human-centred interiors that feel both functional and uplifting.
Studio Culture
This close-knit studio in SW London prides itself on collaboration, creativity, and a genuine care for the people who use their spaces. You’ll work directly with the studio lead, gaining exposure to every part of the design process and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your own voice as a designer.
If you’re ready to join a studio where design really makes a difference – and where your contribution will be seen and valued from day one – we’d love to hear from you.
